T’is the season for glitz, glamour, and gold (and chilly weather of course). This time of year, I (like many others) find myself with some sort of holiday party every other weekend. No complaints though, I’m all for some wine and a good time! This year, I have fallen in love with the way gold and red go together so beautifully and incorporated this into my makeup routine.
I created this warm, holiday glow with a few necessity products. My eyes are done entirely using Too Faced’s Chocolate Bar Palette. I am SoOoO obsessed with this palette. Not only are the colors completely gorge, but they smell like CHOCOLATE (Yum)!
My red lips are created using NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in “Dragon Girl”. This is my absolute favorite red lips. It stays for ages and isn’t too drying. Trust me when I say it sticks. If I don’t wait for it to fully dry before smooching little Mila, she is left with indelible red kiss marks on her cheeks! Before applying any matte lip colour, I first coat my lips with Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment in Clear. This lip treatment is so moisturizing and does a great job at prepping my lips for matte colors.
On my lid, I first applied a coat of Too Faced’s “Shadow Insurance” to keep my shadow lasting all day. Next I swept a light coat of “Salted Caramel” on my lid (following upwards about halfway between my crease and brow). I swept this shade along my lower lash line too (lash line, not my water line). Next, I swept “Crème Brûlée” across my lids. I dusted my crease and outer corner with “Semi Sweet”. To finish this look, I used “Champagne Truffle” in my inner corners and for my brow highlight. I drew a quick cat eye using my Balm Cosmetics’ Schwing Liner, and two coats of NARS Audacious Mascara.
